Self awareness

According to the BBC
A senior US state department official has said that the US has shown "arrogance and stupidity" in Iraq.

Oh really? Do you think? This at least shows the beginnings of hope flickering. Acknowledging one's mistakes is the first step on the road to putting them right.

Let's hope they do make a genuine attempt to learn from their mistakes. And maybe, they ought to take a look at Afghanistan too, their efforts there weren't exactly sparkling.

I remember studying Vietnam. I got my best makes in History on that topic.

I can tell you that I see no difference here. Similar parinoia, same lack of specific militry targets and lots of soldiers running arround with shoot me on thier heads.
